After 1495 Florence decided to strengthen the walls of Montepulciano and construct a bastion Fortifying the Porta al Prato, and entrusting the project to Antonio da Sangallo.
Our premises have their seat in the guardhouse of this renaissance building, which is accessed through a secret passage and a series of medieval rooms.
The Tavern is a cosy place where you can enjoy lunch or dinner with local ingredients, such as the vegetables cultivated in our organic farm and our own oil. Then the Wine Shop: a unique environment of its kind where the selection of wines are rigorously and carefully taken care of by our sommeliers: they are always eager to guide you on the best choice.
